Dropped 80 g of rat and chick. Dropped 80 g of CHOPPED rat and rabbit.

A: BAR. Feet are looking better after being inside. Is scrapping a lot. He was given whole chick last feed, and whole chick plus large chunks of rat this feed, so it may be his food is being prepped wrong again and he is unable to eat because of his beak injury. Won't change food amount for now and will try to monitor food prep more closely.

A: Wounds on both feet are scabbing and healing well. All other wounds on patient appear to be fairly static and not getting any worse. Patient is still very active. Weight and body condition have gone down as patient has not been eating that much since moving inside. Ate about half of food thats been dropped. Will reassess at next bandage change and see if bird needs to remain inside.

A: BAR. His R carpal isn't great, but it's not any worse than before either. I am concerned about his feet. Unsure if it's from his perches or from grabbing the sides of the enclosure, but it may also be the start of bumble foot.

Bird has small scab on OS supraorbital ridge applind small amount of TAO. Bird eating well and gaing weight despite being so stressy. Cleaned cage and picked up casts while bird was in hand

O: Caught and weighed. Checked L bumper- It's still on fairly well and the scab looks good underneath, so I left it in place. R bumper is still off- no note in chart to replace so did not bring supplies to replace it. Wound underneath was open but more or less static from last time. We will want to put a bumper on it next time he's in hand though. Cleaned wound with dilute betadine and applied a thin layer of dermagel. Cleaned cere wound with dilute betadine as well. Scab on outer edge of cere was loose, so removed easily. No bleeding underneath. Took photos before and after. Applied dermagel to wound. Removed 20 g (a whole rat head and chick head) of scrap. Dropped 81 g of squirrel and rat.
Weight change: -21 g (3 %)

O: Removed duoderm bandages from the keel and the L stifle - duoderm bandage material difficult to remove as it has melted and adhered to the skin. Gave bird 2 mg/kg torb (0.14 ml) IM. Cleaned areas and applied topical lidocaine. Debrided edges of wound over keel and closed with horizontal mattress and simple interrupted sutures with 4-0 webcryl. Closed wound on stifle with a single simple interrupted sutures. Bruising over L leg, uropygial gland and back all much improved and almost completely resolved. Removed duoderm bandage from over cere, cleaned area and covered with small amount of EMT gel.

O: Removed bandage from over keel wound: no signs of infection, can see muscle and fat. Covered with duoderm bandage. Mild bruising and swelling noted R ventral elbow. Large amount of bruising over the L TBT with wound - covered wound with duoderm bandage. Small scab on medial aspect of L foot and dorsal LD1. Bruising around the uropygial gland and on mid back. Old L calvicle fracture palpated on exam - can see on original x-rays. Took additiona x-rays of skull: maxilla looks WNL, not fractured or affected by damaged rhinotheca. Checked eyes: bird appears very visual, has retinal tears OU. OD tear in the 9 o clock region, OS tear in the 9 o clok region.
